My name is Sean Michael Andrews and I am a hypnotherapist in Maryland , USA . I wasn’t always a hypnotist. I used to see performances of hypnotism and I thought to myself, “These guys are amazing!” I wondered how they were able to walk up to normal, everyday people and drop them instantly into trance. “It looks so cool, but there’s no way I could ever do that.” “There must be some sort of inborn gift or natural talent that enables them to hypnotize people.” I thought.

Perhaps you’ve bought books or read online descriptions of hypnotic inductions and maybe you even tried them on friends or family members. Did they work the way you wanted them to? Probably not. That was my experience too.

So for many years I put hypnotizing people into the “too hard” basket. But then I was at an NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) class and it included a unit on hypnosis. I didn’t really think that I would actually be able to learn hypnosis, but I hoped that it might be possible.

Hypnosis turned out to be pretty easy and I was thrilled every time my subjects went into trance. Still, there were other things I wanted to be able to do. Later on I discovered sneaky inductions in the style of Dr. Milton Erickson. His subjects seemed not to even know that he was hypnotizing them. Yet another skill I HAD to have!

Nobody knew much about street hypnosis at that time, but I wondered if it might be possible to hypnotize people in “non-optimal” conditions like pubs and city streets. Little did I know that I would one day become the world’s leading expert in Street Hypnosis.

So I embarked on a quest to learn all the coolest hypnosis skills. I sought out the best hypnotists in the world and took their classes. If the master didn’t have a class, I paid to have one-on-one training with him. This wasn’t cheap… but it was worth it!
